Role Description
This is a full‑time hybrid role for a Mechanical Fitter based in our Daventry location, with the flexibility to work remotely for part of the time. The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for carrying out equipment fitting, machinery repairs, preventive maintenance, and supporting the upkeep of our modern fleet. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical issues, conducting repairs, and performing routine maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, and collaborating with team members to support operational goals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in fitting and machinery operations
- Experience in maintenance and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment functionality and minimize downtime
- Skills in machining, with the ability to perform machine repairs and adjustments
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical issues
- Knowledge of health and safety standards within the industry
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, or a similar field is preferred
- Experience in plant or construction machinery maintenance is an advantage
