The Opportunity:
Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our Transformer business as a Sales Manager. You will be responsible for sales and tendering of Transformers in the UK for Distribution Network Operators. The role aims to maximize Hitachi’s market potential and opportunities, including visiting potential clients, securing business, defining scope of works, supporting transformer design to ensure value, and maintaining sales and marketing records.
How you will make an impact:
- Support our Transformer Tendering Engineers in implementing sales and marketing strategies, overseeing sales and tendering activities to drive growth.
- Take ownership of GTS (Global Target Setting) and MIMO Market Insight, Market Outlook reporting annually.
- Develop growth plans aligned with business needs.
- Coordinate with Market Manager, tendering, operations, and technical teams to ensure capabilities meet client expectations and maximize opportunities.
- Communicate effectively across various business units.
Your Background:
- Proven experience in Sales and Tendering.
- Experience working within a transformer factory environment or sales area.
- Understanding of technology potential and market trends.
- Experience helping customers globally to improve efficiency, resource use, and emissions reduction.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to support and guide team members effectively.
