About the role: We’re seeking a hands‑on Director of Engineering to lead our engineering team and shape the technical direction of our enterprise agentic AI platform. You’ll own engineering strategy, team growth, and delivery while staying deeply involved in architecture and code.
Responsibilities:
- Define technical vision, architecture, and engineering standards.
- Drive reliable, scalable, and secure product delivery.
- Partner with Product and Design to prioritize roadmap and trade‑offs.
- Lead and mentor engineering managers and senior engineers.
- Hire and grow a world‑class engineering team.
- Spend a significant portion of time designing, and reviewing critical systems.
Requirements:
Must Have:
- 8-12+ years in software development in one or more programming languages.
- 4+ years in a leadership position, with experience managing and growing engineering teams.
- Strong experience designing and developing large-scale, distributed systems.
- Comfortable being hands‑on with architecture and system roll‑out.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Startup or high‑growth environment experience.
- Background in ML, AI, Enterprise software platforms.
- Experience managing international teams.
Location: Paris or London. This role is hybrid, and you are expected to be in the office 3 days a week on average.
