We are one of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of retail display solutions, all produced in-house over our extensive manufacturing facilities within the UK at Stockport & Halifax.
Our Stockport division is looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Paint Line Operative to join our team and work on our automated powder coating plant for bulk production and one-off prototypes with our multi spray/auto technology. The role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a fabrication or production environment, who has a strong work ethic and takes pride in delivering high-quality results. This is a hands-on role working to high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare parts for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, and hanging parts on racks.
- Assist in loading and unloading parts from the coating booths or oven.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including cleaning tools and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain supplies such as masking materials, cleaning agents, and other necessary items.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Help in inspecting coated parts for quality and assist in reworking any defective items.
- Perform general labouring tasks as needed to support production operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in powder coating or metal pre-treatment would be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good physical stamina, as the role involves standing, lifting, and moving parts throughout the day.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- A driving licence would be preferable.
