Spot Welder

Hours:40 hours per weekSalary: £12.75 per hour

We are one of the UKs leading designers and manufacturers of retail display solutions. All produced inhouse over our extensive manufacturing facilities within the UK at Stockport & Halifax.

Our Stockport division is looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Spot Welder to join our team and work in our Fabrication Department. The role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a fabrication or production environment, who has a strong work ethic and takes pride delivering high quality results.

This is a hands-on role working to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate metal components to specifications based on engineering drawings.
  • As a Spot Welder you would be using power and hand tools for grinding, cutting, and shaping materials daily.
  • Engage in Floor Drilling, Pillow Drilling, Cutting and Saw duties.
  • Perform quality control to all tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, including cleaning tools and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Be willing to progress to other fabrication duties.
  • Perform general labouring tasks as needed to support production operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with general fabrication would be beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail, including quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • As a Spot Welder a good physical stamina is an advantage, as the role involves standing, lifting, and moving parts throughout the day.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail, including quality.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • A Driving licence would be preferable.
