We are one of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of retail display solutions, all produced in-house over our extensive manufacturing facilities within the UK at Stockport & Halifax.
Our Stockport division is looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Spot Welder to join our team and work in our Fabrication Department. The role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a fabrication or production environment, who has a strong work ethic and takes pride in delivering high quality results. This is a hands-on role working to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate metal components to specifications based on engineering drawings
- Use power and hand tools for grinding, cutting, and shaping materials daily
- Engage in Floor Drilling, Pillow Drilling, Cutting and Saw duties
- Perform quality control to all tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including cleaning tools and equipment
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Be willing to progress to other fabrication duties
- Perform general labouring tasks as needed to support production operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with general fabrication would be beneficial
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail, including quality
- Ability to follow instructions
- Good physical stamina, as the role involves standing, lifting, and moving parts throughout the day
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- A Driving licence would be preferable
