We are one of the UKs leading designers and manufacturers of retail display solutions. All produced inhouse over our extensive manufacturing facilities within the UK at Stockport & Halifax.

Our Stockport division is looking to recruit a reliable and motivated MIG Welder to join our team to weld in Jigs in our Fabrication Department. The role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a fabrication or production environment, who has a strong work ethic and takes pride delivering high quality results.

This is a hands-on role working to high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate metal components to specifications based on engineering drawings.
  • As a MIG Welder you will be welding in Jigs.
  • You will read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Perform quality control to all tasks to ensure weld integrity and product safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, including cleaning tools and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to health safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet production targets.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting would be advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail, including quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • As a MIG Welder a good physical stamina is an advantage, as the role involves standing, lifting, and moving parts throughout the day.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail, including quality.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • A Driving licence would be preferable.
