Position Title: Purchasing Coordinator
Location: Tamworth (UK)/Mindelo (Portugal)/Willebroek (Belgium) (hybrid-remote)
Position Overview
The Purchasing Coordinator has responsibility for the purchasing and scheduling of raw materials and packaging needed for the efficient functioning of the production site, also purchasing/scheduling of product for external warehouses in Europe.
Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for creating purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and bought-in products for the production site and external warehouses, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with requirements.

For direct and indirect spend outside central team control, select suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms for cost-effective outcomes.

Use MRP/SAP to manage inventory levels of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging in line with guidelines and financial targets.

Collaborate with Central Sourcing on supplier information, market insights, demand forecasts, and new material/supplier introductions.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Work with internal stakeholders to reduce slow-moving and redundant inventory.

Manage new material introductions, coordinating with stakeholders and raising item/change requests with complete MRP data.

Analyse and report weekly on backorders and service levels.
Minimum Requirements

2+ years of experience using MRP systems

1+ year experience with Order Management

Strong verbal and written communication skills
