Position Overview

The Production Operative performs entry-level production tasks under supervision to support safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. The role involves preparing materials, operating equipment, monitoring processes, and ensuring products meet required specifications. The position also supports compliance with quality standards and EHS regulations while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare raw materials and packaging by identifying correct quantities and transporting them to the appropriate production area, reporting any deviations and recording start and finish times
  • Operate processing equipment in line with process instructions and procedures
  • Monitor equipment to ensure processes run at the desired rates
  • Perform initial testing and release of products to ensure no deviations from specifications
  • Check labels and packaging materials to ensure correct labelling in line with rules and instructions
  • Package final products in accordance with instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards
  • Carry out all operations in compliance with quality standards, operating procedures, and EHS rules
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within the area of responsibility
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by the Production Manager or Supervisor

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic educational qualification (high school diploma or equivalent)
  • No prior experience required
  • Knowledge of common software programmes (MS Office)
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures
  • Availability to work shifts

Preferred Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in an industrial environment
  • Basic understanding of English
