We provide a wide range of services across the industrial and heritage boiler sectors, including boiler repairs, maintenance, installation, fabrication, pipework projects, and specialist engineering solutions.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Engineering Labourer / Trainee Engineer to support our experienced engineering team across a variety of interesting and challenging projects.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide essential support to our engineers, helping ensure our workshop, site operations, and projects run efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in engineering who is looking to develop their practical skills and gain experience within a specialist engineering environment. Full training will be provided, with opportunities to progress and undertake further specialist training courses.
You will work alongside our experienced teams across several areas of the business, including:
- Service and Repair Work
- Installation and Fabrication Projects
- Heritage Engineering
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Your Duties Will Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Assisting engineers with day-to-day tasks on-site and in the workshop
- Preparing tools, materials, and equipment for projects
- Loading, unloading, and transporting materials
- Collecting and delivering parts and equipment when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Supporting engineers during repairs, installations, and maintenance activities
- Carrying out general labouring duties to assist project completion
- Following company health and safety procedures at all times
Working Away and Travel Requirements
The role will primarily be based at our works in Cowling, West Yorkshire; however, occasional travel and working away across the UK will be required. The length of time away will depend on the project requirements, but will generally involve short periods away from home, usually Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend working may also be required to support customer requirements, planned shutdowns, specialist installations, or time-sensitive projects. Additional benefits are available for working away, including travel support, allowances, and food expenses.
