Responsibilities
- Becoming a skilled Interior Systems Installer (Dryliner)
- Work alongside experienced staff, gaining skills and knowledge
- Learn and adhere to safety protocols and best practices on construction sites
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plans to ensure accurate installation
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with the preparation and measurement of materials required for installation
- Measure, cut, and attach plasterboard to create walls and partitions
- Hide pipes and wires, and make space for insulation
- Install suspended ceilings, raised floors, and soundproofing systems
- Seal joints between plasterboards to achieve smooth finishes
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
General Labouring / Apprenticeship Details
- Perform general labouring work to support the installation team, such as moving materials and equipment on-site
- Mixing and preparing construction materials
- Cleaning and organising the work area
- Work toward a Level 2 Interior Systems (Drylining) Installer Apprenticeship
- Maintain a logbook and a portfolio recording projects, skills learned and work undertaken
Apprenticeship Standard & Location
- Interior Systems Installer Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
- The apprentice will be based at our site in Tunbridge Wells, with assessors from the training provider visiting the site every two months and online training taking place every fortnight
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
