We’re looking for a skilled Network Engineer to help keep our global network running smoothly, securely, and efficiently. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and deployment of core network infrastructure across the region — and provide global support when needed. You’ll monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and play a key part in ensuring maximum uptime for a fast‑moving, tech‑driven business. You’ll work closely with Administrators, Senior Engineers, the Network Manager, and third‑party partners, all while helping drive continuous improvements that strengthen reliability, enhance efficiency, and elevate service quality.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Day-to-Day Operations
- Manages the daily operation of network, monitoring performance, and responding to issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving network problems to maintain uptime and service reliability.
- Responsible for ensuring service uptime, proactively monitoring the environment, and resolving issues before they impact operations.
- Infrastructure Maintenance
- Ensures all network infrastructure is operating efficiently by performing routine maintenance tasks, such as firmware upgrades and configurational adjustments.
- Compliance with security policies and standards across the network infrastructure.
- Installation and Deployment of New Infrastructure
- Coordinates the planning, installation, and configuration of new network systems, ensuring that they are integrated smoothly into the existing infrastructure.
- Oversees testing, troubleshooting and works closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure projects meet specifications.
- Ensures all new deployments follow documented standards and integrate seamlessly with existing services, with full test and validation procedures completed.
- Technical Coordination
- Acts as a coordinator for tasks carried out by Administrators and support teams, ensuring activities are completed to a consistently high standard.
- Provides clear guidance and prioritises tasks to meet operational demands as and when they arise.
- Collaboration and Support
- Works with senior engineers and the network manager to align technical activities with broader team goals.
- Offers hands‑on support for current operations and new projects while ensuring adherence to established policies and standards.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing
- Supports the upskilling of Administrators through structured knowledge-sharing and guidance.
- Ensures the overall growth and technical capability of the wider tech team.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting
- Serves as the first point of contact for diagnosing and resolving network issues.
- Provides fast, effective solutions to minimise operational disruptions and escalates critical problems to the senior engineer when necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintains accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and ongoing tasks.
- Prepares performance reports, tracking issues and work completed to ensure transparency and keep the team informed.
- Proactively identifies areas for improvement in network processes, tools, and technologies.
- Recommends changes to enhance the team's performance and operational efficiency, contributing to the continuous improvement of infrastructure management.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Criteria
- Recent experience in network engineering or a related field, with a focus on maintaining and optimising network infrastructure.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Experience coordinating the installation and deployment of new network systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Hands‑on experience in managing network security, applying patches, updates, and performing backups in compliance with security policies.
- Advanced knowledge of networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex network issues. Ability to quickly implement effective solutions to minimise downtime and operational disruptions.
- Ability to lead and coordinate tasks with administrators and support staff, ensuring high standards are maintained in both daily operations and project execution.
- High attention to detail in maintaining accurate records of network configurations, tasks, and changes. Capable of generating reports to keep stakeholders informed of performance and issues.
- Skilled in mentoring junior team members, sharing knowledge, and encouraging professional development within the team.
