OVERVIEW:
Join our team as a Mobile Engineering Manager! Not only will you will be managing a team of Engineers, you will be using your skills, knowledge and experience to help shape the future of Gymshark\’s digital ecosystem and drive business success through our apps (both Android and iOS) ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and scalability.
WHAT YOU\’LL BE DOING:
- Managing, leading and mentoring a team of engineers of differential capability
- Managing team backlog
- Utilising experience as an Engineer to make data led decisions for the team and work prioritisation
- Encouraging the team to think creatively and critically to product innovative and ground breaking mobile digital products
- Empowering Engineers to achieve a consistent high bar of engineering excellence in their work
- Collaborating with other Engineering Managers and Heads-of to form a ‘one-team\’ fully aligned on general engineering approach and delivery requirements
- Supporting direct reports to independently pull and deliver feedback, sympathetic to areas of specific developmental importance
- Making significant improvements to internal processes to ensure projects are delivered to deadlines, and therefore budget
- Ensuring a good level of personal and team understanding of Agile\’s 12 principles
WHAT YOU\’LL NEED:
Essential Criteria:
- Experience as a Mobile Engineer, specialising in either Kotlin or Swift
- Successfully managed, led and mentored a team of Engineers
- Proven work experience in working on mobile applications
- Experience working within an agile framework
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to build relationships across Tech and the wider Gymshark business
This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
