This isn’t just about designing great product, it’s about defining the future of Womenswear at Gymshark. As Head of Design, you’ll own the creative vision for one of our most important and fastest-growing categories. You’ll lead from the front, inspiring teams, shaping direction, and delivering collections that are not only innovative and performance-led, but deeply connected to our community. You’ll balance creativity with commerciality, bringing to life product that looks great, performs even better, and gives our customers a real reason to believe.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Set the Vision: Define and lead the creative direction for Womenswear, from seasonal concepts to long-term strategy. Translate consumer, cultural, and market insights into a clear, distinctive product vision. Push boundaries in design, innovation, and performance.
- Lead the Product: Own the end-to-end design process, from first idea through to finished product. Deliver standout collections and product stories that resonate globally. Raise the bar for quality, innovation, and brand consistency.
- Build & Inspire Teams: Lead and develop a world-class Womenswear Design team. Create a high-performance culture rooted in creativity, ownership, and progression. Identify and nurture future talent, building a strong design pipeline.
- Drive Commercial Impact: Partner closely with Product Buying to shape range architecture and pricing. Balance creativity with commercial outcomes, using data and insight to guide decisions. Influence gross margin through thoughtful design decisions and cost awareness.
- Collaborate Across the Business: Work with Sourcing and Development to bring designs to life at scale. Partner with Brand, Insights, and Trading to align product with the wider Gymshark strategy. Help shape how collections come to market, from concept to launch.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Lead trend research and market exploration to keep Gymshark at the forefront. Identify opportunities for innovation and disruption within Womenswear. Champion new ideas across product, fabric, and performance.
What You’ll Need:
- Proven experience leading design within womenswear or sportswear at a senior level.
- A strong creative vision with the ability to turn ideas into commercially successful product.
- Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of the global athleisure / womenswear market.
- Strong commercial awareness and decision-making capability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

This is a hybrid role and requires the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
