Gymboree Play & Music have been delivering developmental classes for 0‑5 years for nearly 50 years, with branches globally. Our classes make learning feel like fun, meaning little ones can build important skills at every developmental level, in a safe, dynamic environment, filled with music and activities.
We are recruiting teachers who enjoy working with children aged 2 weeks to 5 years and their families; delivering fabulous classes, exciting free play sessions, parties and events. Training and class programs provided, within an upbeat venue and relaxed working environment.
Role- Bring energy, fun and excitement to classes, parties and events; facilitate parent‑child interactive activities using venue props based on the weekly class theme (e.g., Zoo, Showtime).
- Use lesson plans provided by Gymboree Play & Music to create and host 45‑minute developmental classes for children aged 0‑5 years, covering Babies, Crawlers/Walkers, Runners, Explorers, Explorers Advanced, Family and Music.
- Learn and understand Gymboree Play & Music’s structure to sell enrolments, merchandise, birthday parties and special events to new and existing customers.
- Maintain site standards, including but not limited to cleaning, stocking and pricing of merchandise, bi‑weekly equipment setup and lesson plan changes.
- Complete general daily administration such as responding to customer emails, class bookings and telephone calls.
- Participate in paid events such as Easter, Gymboween, other special events or external events planned with collaborators.
- Ensure excellent brand standards are maintained – friendly, warm, personable.
- Host birthday parties on Saturdays when required – manage birthday party requests/bookings, plan and follow up as required.
- Available to work 9‑1 on Saturdays; other days flexible to discuss.
- Good singing voice and rhythm; music background beneficial but not essential.
- Adaptability – essential for working with children.
- Experience working with children newborn to 5 years – preferred.
- Basic computer skills – Outlook and Word.
- Customer service oriented.
- Team player.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. and move play equipment.
