Compensation: Dependant on experience

Role Purpose: You will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing marketing strategies to promote menswear products, drive brand awareness, and support business growth. You will create and execute Gym King’s marketing vision to ensure our men’s community feels valued and connected. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies across brand, product, partnerships and social media channels. You'll own end-to-end marketing plans for men’s, covering brand and value campaigns, seasonal events, loyalty activity, and strategic services—balancing short-term trading needs with long-term growth. You will have a passion for fast-paced, high impact work with the ability to execute strategies that drive real results. Creating captivating content that engages communities and builds brand loyalty.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the Gym King’s marketing output with a specific focus on social media channels; Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies for menswear across brand, product, and partnerships against our marketing calendar
  • Turn commercial and customer insight into campaigns, journeys, and briefs
  • Build an organic social discipline, creating a long-term and cost-effective solution to building brand awareness, driving new customer growth and ongoing loyalty and engagement
  • Create compelling marketing campaigns, analyse performance metrics and adjust strategies based on market insights.
  • Briefing and managing content assets (primarily stories & feed posts)
  • Working with the team to own the brand voice across marketing channels so that it is consistent and reflects our brand positioning and serves both brand and audience needs.
  • Own and develop Gym King's men's ambassador programme, managing relationships, activations, contracts, and performance of brand ambassadors.
  • Lead the GK Collective men's influencer community, driving recruitment, engagement, content creation, product seeding, and advocacy to increase brand awareness and community growth.
  • Collaborate with ambassadors and GK Collective members to create authentic, high-performing content that supports brand, campaign, and commercial objectives.
  • Analysis of cultural, community, media, and market trends to inform strategic and creative development for content.
  • Lead measurement plan to ensure that the content strategy is evaluated correctly and demonstrates business and brand value
  • Remaining reactive to key events, customer moments, national days, and TV relevant to our audience
  • Identifying creative opportunities, briefing & capturing content, and attending shoot days

About you:

  • Strong marketing experience in retail, FMCG, or fast paced environments (minimum of 4 years)
  • Experience in managing a marketing or social media team with ability to scale team growth
  • Experience in briefing & managing content assets
  • Creative, strategic and data driven
  • Strong commercial and customer mindset
  • Stays current with marketing trend and technologies
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

Working hours: Due to the nature of this role, the hours will be full time (37.5 hours per week) Monday-Friday, although a flexible approach is required at times to meet the needs of the role.

Location: This role is based at Unit 6 Temple Point, Bullerthorpe Lane, Colton, Leeds LS15 9JL. 2 minutes off the M1 J46. 20 minutes from Leeds station. There will be a requirement to travel both nationally and internationally as part of this role.
