Location: On site near Bath.

Contract Type: 6-Month Contract

Rate: Dependant on experience

Our client is a healthcare technology and diagnostics company developing. They are looking for an Engineering Technician to join their engineering team on a 6-month contract, supporting internal development programs and helping resolve reliability issues, trial design improvements, and run tests and experiments alongside scientists and engineers. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong mechanical/electrical assembly background and a genuine interest in scientific instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing repairs and modifications to equipment and simple mechanical presses
  • Analysis of defective equipment
  • Product and component testing, including reliability testing
  • Developing protocols to commission simple production equipment, including equipment qualification
  • Promoting cGMP compliance within a pilot production facility
  • Maintaining a set of working instruments for day-to-day use

What We’re Looking For

  • Graduate in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering, or BTEC/equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Experience working with mechanical assembly equipment
  • Experience with electrical products and a basic understanding of electronics
  • Soldering experience, particularly SMD rework
  • Fault-finding and repair skills
