Are you an experienced stock or inventory leader who thrives on control and accuracy? Do you enjoy leading teams, balancing priorities and keeping operations running smoothly? Are you confident managing inventory performance within a fast‑paced, high‑volume warehouse environment? Here at GXO, we’re recruiting for a Stock Shift Manager to support our operation at Avonmouth. This is a full‑time, permanent role, working Sunday to Thursday, 08:00 – 16:00, where you’ll oversee stock operations across your shift, leading ICQA teams and ensuring inventory accuracy, service levels and compliance are consistently achieved.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead stock and inventory activity across your shift, ensuring accuracy, flow and operational efficiency
  • Manage and support ICQA Leads, providing clear direction, coaching and performance feedback
  • Oversee cycle counts, stock investigations and audits, resolving discrepancies and driving root‑cause actions
  • Monitor shift performance against KPIs, reporting results and implementing improvements
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture, ensuring compliance with procedures and safe systems of work

  • Experience in a stock, inventory or warehouse management role within a high‑volume operation
  • Strong people‑management skills with the ability to lead and develop teams
  • Solid understanding of inventory control, audits and stock accuracy processes
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
