Here at GXO, we are looking for a Transport Team Leader to join our Kellogg’s team based in Haydock. This site provides our customer with a dedicated warehouse distribution facility and transport factory clearance for its products. You will need a flexible approach to join our existing teams where the primary focus is on delivering excellent customer service. This is a full time, permanent position, working 4 on, 4 off. Rotating over 2 days – 07:00 to 19:00, 2 nights 19:00 to 07:00.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £34,500.00 (inclusive of night shift allowance), and 20 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Responsible for the scheduling and planning of the transport operation ensuring that all contractual customer services levels and time window commitments are met within agreed timescales.
- Responsible for ensuring the vehicle maintenance schedule is current, maintained and displayed in line with DVSA & GXO requirements.
- Visible management of the team to ensure all aspects of Compliance is closely managed, monitored and adhered to, Tachomaster reports, service & MOT scheduling.
- Management of driver performance, review, set targets & analyse.
- Working with a rolling team of 4 Team Leaders to ensure agile, robust performance.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in Transport operation or warehouse operation with transport office.
- Knowledge of Working time directive- drivers’ hours.
- Good practical understanding of H&S.
- Experience with MS Office and transport tools, along with excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
