Are you an experienced Operational Shift Manager looking for your next step? Are you ready for your next challenge? Are you a supporter of recycle & reuse? Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager (Nights) to join us at our reverse operation in Aylesford, working alongside our customer, Tesco. You will be working in a fast paced, busy operation handling all returned products and equipment from their stores while maintaining a high level of Health and Safety around the site.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 till 06:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,000.00 per annum plus a shift allowance of £2,000.00 per annum, and 24 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Oversee the running of the tray wash and recycling operation on the night shift
- Ensure that the site is utilising resource effectively, monitoring headcount, efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Promote and develop a health and safety culture on site in line with the company’s policies
- Get involved with performance management, KPI monitoring and drive continuous improvement initiatives
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A warehouse operational management background
- An excellent understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
- Experience of leading teams, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring and creating development plans
- The ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacity
