Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for a change? Would you like to work for a market leading company with fantastic benefits? If so, we have a great opportunity for you! Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 2 Driver to join our specialist logistics team based in Sheffield, S60 5BD. You will be contracted to work 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, occasional weekends and the start time window of 05:00 and 06:00. You will be transporting hazardous goods, such as Lithium-ion batteries and solar panels across the UK. ADR training will be provided!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • A typical day starts between 05:00 – 06:00 with 1–2 deliveries to engineers in the morning, followed by a remedial recovery.
  • Safely transport ADR‑classified goods (e.g. lithium‑ion batteries) to and from customer sites.
  • Carry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards.
  • Follow ADR, Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
  • Accurately complete delivery documentation (ePODs, manifests, waste transfer notes if required).
  • Provide a professional, reliable service when representing the company to customers and site contacts.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • A full UK driving licence with category class 2 entitlement.
  • A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
  • Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • No more than 6 current penalty points.
  • This role is ideal for professional drivers who take pride in safety, compliance, and customer service.
  • Previous experience with hazardous goods transport (batteries/solar panels) desirable.
  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years.
