We are currently expanding at our ASOS site in Barnsley and are looking for an Outbound First Line Manager to join our team. You’ll lead a team of people and co-ordinate activities on inbound department to help us achieve our business goals; through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture.
The role will be on a full-time, permanent basis. You’ll be working Friday to Monday, covering the hours of 22:45 till 07:15.

We’re looking to offer a salary of £27,272.96 per annum, and 23 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day
- Deliver clear operational direction, leadership, and development to your team of operational staff
- Closely monitor KPIs and performance levels, ensuring that we’re always meeting or exceeding our SLAs
- Manage the allocation of work on a daily basis, controlling headcount and overtime budgets and ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets met
- Create and maintain a positive team culture and spirit, encouraging involvement from all team members
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Previous experience in managing a team in a large, fast-paced warehouse environment
- Excellent working knowledge of the warehousing process
- Confidence in the use of a warehouse management system
- The ability to effectively lead and manage a large team
