How does working for one of the largest international fashion companies sound? Here at GXO, we’re looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to join our ASOS team in Barnsley. This is your opportunity to play a key role in shaping the employee experience and driving a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced logistics environment. As our HR Advisor, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things people-related within your designated area.

This is a full-time, permanent role. You’ll be working ‘any 5 from 7’, working 40 hours per week, covering our night shift. We understand that flexibility is key, so we’re happy to discuss working hours that suit everyone.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £42,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance, and policy matters
  • Support the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to disciplinary and exit processes
  • Coach and empower line managers to build high-performing teams aligned with GXO values
  • Monitor and report on key HR metrics including headcount, turnover, and absence
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and contribute to the Site People Plan

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards this
  • Strong ER casework background with solid knowledge of UK employment law
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor/Officer role within a fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A collaborative, flexible, and solutions-focused mindset
