With the GXO Driving Academy, you can go from Van Driver to fully qualified Class 2 Driver within 12 months — with all training fully funded. This isn’t just a job. It’s your fast‑track route into a high‑earning, nationally recognised profession.
As a Van Driver, you’ll be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries to our valued customers – helping keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. You will be delivering alongside a Drivers Mate who will assist in the lifting and shifting of items.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, 48 hours per week, on an ‘5 on 3 off’ pattern, with start times between 05:00 - 05:30.

What you will do on a typical day:
- Work as a Van Driver delivering to customers’ homes with care, professionalism and great service — representing GXO and IKEA while building the foundations of your HGV career
- Ensuring the vehicle and stock are properly secured
- Performing vehicle checks at the beginning and end of each journey and reporting all defects
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Full UK driving licence
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- A positive, can‑do attitude
- Reliability, good communication and teamwork
- Physical capability to lift/move items
- Multi‑drop experience is useful but not essential
