Here at GXO Logistics Newark we are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team on night shift. You will be part of a crew that is with you every step of the journey, supporting you on the road and beyond.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, contracted to 48 hours per week. We are currently recruiting for the following shift patterns:

  • 5 on 3 off, with start time windows of 20:00 to 00:00
  • 5 on 3 off, with start time windows of 00:00 to 04:00

What you will do on a typical day:

  • Deliver goods using single and double deck lorries to retail stores and customer premises nationwide, working efficiently to complete scheduled drops
  • Complete 2 to 3 deliveries per day, transporting both palletised and free standing goods
  • Safely unload goods upon arrival at each delivery destination with assistance provided for two-person lifts where required
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
  • Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
  • No more than 6 current penalty points
  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
  • Previous experience driving category C+E vehicles is desirable
