If you’re ready to take ownership of a key operational function and make a real impact, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We’re looking for a Shift Manager to join our GXO team at Avonmouth, supporting our operation.
In this role, you’ll lead and develop your team, drive operational performance, and ensure our customers receive a first‑class service every day. This is a full‑time, permanent position, working 3 on 3 off, 06:00 – 18:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of £42,500 per annum and 23 days annual leave. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead operational activities to achieve and exceed KPI targets and customer expectations
- Ensure Health & Safety and Environmental standards are maintained across the shift
- Manage daily resource planning, work allocation, headcount, downtime and performance
- Drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste through effective processes
- Conduct investigations, disciplinary meetings, and support grievance resolution

- Experience in a similar managerial role within warehousing or logistics
- Strong people‑management skills with the ability to lead, coach and develop teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload effectively
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
