Here at GXO, we’re looking for a proactive and confident HR Advisor to join our dynamic HR team in Bridgwater, supporting our NHS Supply Chain contract. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll be the go-to expert for all things Employee Relations (ER), helping managers navigate complex cases and drive positive outcomes.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, covering the hours of 09:00 till 17:00. We understand that flexibility is important, so for the right candidate, we’re happy to consider a reduction in weekly hours.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and manage ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and flexible working requests
- Coach and train line managers to build confidence and capability in ER case handling
- Collaborate with the HR Operations Partner to identify trends and implement proactive solutions
- Support absence management through data analysis, Occupational Health liaison, and strategic initiatives
- Administer recruitment processes, contract changes, and onboarding activities
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to improving survey scores and workplace culture
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- CIPD Level 3 qualified (minimum)
- Strong experience in managing high-volume ER cases
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with Trade Unions
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, COUNT)
- A flexible, organised, and customer-focused approach
