BE Recruitment are working in partnership with GXO Wincanton / Wickes to recruit reliable and professional Class 2 Drivers for a well-established home delivery operation in Northampton.

Your Role:

  • Driving Class 2 vehicles with a manual gearbox
  • Working as part of a two-person delivery team with a driver’s mate
  • Completing home deliveries to houses, flats and apartments
  • Delivering a mix of bulky and lighter items using team lifts for heavier goods
  • Completing room of choice deliveries only
  • Typical workloads range from 2 to 6 drops per day on heavier routes, increasing to 12 to 15 drops on smaller local routes. Routes are pre-planned and supported, covering local and regional areas.

What You’ll Need:

  • A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
  • Manual gearbox driving experience
  • No more than 6 points on your licence and no DR or DD endorsements
  • DBS required due to making home deliveries – Be Recruitment will help you obtain this within 4 weeks of starting.
  • Newly passed drivers are welcome, provided you are reliable, team focused and keen to learn.

Shift Pattern:

  • Typically Tuesday to Saturday
  • Start times between 04:00 and 06:00
  • Average working week of around 45 hours
  • Overtime paid at an enhanced rate
