Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to the transport operations team and drivers, ensuring reports and tasks are completed on time.
- Complete all the radial routes, verifying correct stock loading, vehicle assignment, driver allocation, PDA issuance, and all relevant paperwork and collection notes.
- Ensure a safe working environment to comply with company policy and health & safety regulations, and investigate any accidents in a timely manner.
- Ensure all routine vehicle maintenance is booked and completed in line with GXO timeframes.
- Manage tachograph compliance in line with GXO's earned recognition standards.
- Play a key role in supporting the dedicated transport operation for the network, ensuring customer satisfaction and procedural conformance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience within a similar role, including supervising a team and an operational understanding of a transport environment.
- Knowledge of driver working time regulations, tachograph regulations and fleet compliance.
- Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast‑moving environment, with strong planning and organising skills.
- A flexible approach to cover and support departmental requirements.
