Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to the transport operations team and drivers, ensuring reports and tasks are completed on time.
- Complete all radial routes, checking the correct stock has been loaded, on the right vehicle, driver allocated, PDA issued, and all relevant paperwork and collection notes required.
- Ensure a safe working environment complying with company policy and health & safety regulations, investigating any accidents in a timely manner.
- Ensure all routine vehicle maintenance is booked and completed in line with GXO timeframes.
- Ensure tachograph compliance is managed according to GXO's earnt recognition standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrable experience within a similar role, experience supervising a team and an operational understanding of a transport environment.
- Knowledge of driver working time regulations, tacho regulations and fleet compliance.
- Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast‑moving environment, planning and organising.
- A flexible approach to cover and support the department's requirements.
