Thrive in a fast-moving warehouse environment? We're looking for a Warehouse Team Leader who can motivate teams, drive operational performance, and act as the first point of contact for day-to-day support and problem-solving. Here at GXO, we're looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader to join our City Plumbing Supplies contract at our Warrington site.

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the key operational tasks in relation to the team you will lead, the first point of contact for all operational task related queries. This role is being offered as a full-time, permanent position working on an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, rotating between 06:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Support the FLM in leading and motivating the team to achieve productivity, quality, and service targets across the multi-channel operation.
  • Promote a strong Health & Safety culture by ensuring safe working practices, adherence to PPE requirements, and prompt reporting of hazards.
  • Train, coach, and develop colleagues in SOPs and best practices to maintain high standards of performance and quality.
  • Monitor day-to-day operations, resolve issues quickly, support picking and packing activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Step up to lead the operation in the absence of the FLM or Shift Manager, ensuring smooth communication, effective reporting, and delivery of customer expectations.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Proven experience in managing an operational team in a fast-paced warehouse.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement.
  • Ensure effective communication is delivered to colleagues and management teams on a daily basis.
  • A high level of competence in data analytics and strong use of Excel/Google Sheets, able to provide supporting information and analysis in the form of spreadsheets and other visual aids.
