Here at GXO Sherburn In Elmet we are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our team. Working at our equipment management site, where it's all about recycling & reuse, for one of the largest supermarket retailers in the UK. You'll play a key role in a busy recycling centre, handling cardboard, plastic, and food waste, as well as supporting the efficient operation of the tray wash process.

You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, covering the hours of 06:00 to 18:00 or 18:00 to 06:00, choose what suits you best!

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Load empty trays and buckets onto the wash machine ready for cleaning
  • Unload clean trays from the wash machine, stack away and wrap ready for collection
  • Ensure a hazard-free zone by guaranteeing that all work areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Other warehouse duties depending on operations needs

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • MHE licence beneficial but not essential
  • A can-do attitude with a willingness to learn something new!
  • Willing to work in an environment with lots of repetitive work
