We’re looking for an HR Advisor to assist our site team in leading and implementing our people plan to support our new contract in Swindon.
We are looking for someone who can drive a culture of positive engagement whilst confidently juggling multiple priorities - from advising stakeholders on HR issues and managing Trade Union relationships, to leading communication strategies, supporting recruitment and induction, and ensuring retention and redeployment activities meet statutory and company requirements.
This is a full-time, permanent position where you’ll be working Monday - Friday, between the hours of 09:00 - 17:00.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to pay £34,000.00 per annum with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Provide a first level advisory service to the site team.
- Support the delivery of the People Agenda to align culture, talent, structure and processes.
- Provide HR support and advice to managers and employees.
- Drive and promote Employee Engagement and Health & Wellbeing initiatives.
- Ensure legal compliance with all HR practices and be aware of any employment law changes.
- Create a culture of innovation and problem solving amongst Managers and employees.
- Build harmonious relationships with any Trade Union to ensure optimum working efficiency.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience of working in a similar fast-paced HR team, ideally within a logistics or distribution environment, dealing with complex ER cases.
- CIPD Level 3 qualified, or working towards.
- Experience of undertaking a broad range of tasks including working with and advising line managers on employee relations issues.
- Knowledge of employment law with experience working within a unionised environment is highly desirable.
