Stock and Systems First Line Manager

GXO are looking for a Stock & Systems First Line Manager to join our B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. You will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Stock and PI teams enabling them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication as well as effectively resolving any issues and queries related to stock.

This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working on an ‘any 5 from 7 shift’ pattern. The working hours will rotate weekly between 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of £30,000 – £33,000 per annum. You’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

1. Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of your team, providing effective communication, leadership, succession planning, motivation, training and development.
2. Monitor stock and administrative operational activities ensuring that contractual obligations for the customer are achieved and generating solutions for improvement where necessary.
3. Plan and assist the department in all stock counts and audits of inventory, ensuring integrity is maintained at all times.
4. Communicate with the stock manager on a day-to-day basis whilst delivering any agreed actions required to keep the operation efficient, including discrepancy resolution and management of customer service issues.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

1. Proven experience of leading a stock team in a fast-paced warehouse.
2. Extensive knowledge and experience working with JDA/Red Prairie and SAP.
3. Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement.
4. Analytical and logical approach to problem solving.
