Whatever the reason, this may be the role for you! We are recruiting for a Warehouse Team Manager to join our team in Stafford, for our customer, Screwfix. This is a chance to be part of a fast-paced and challenging area of work to assist the Lead Team Managers and Shift Operations Manager in maintaining performance of the warehouse operations.

This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working on a rotating day shift pattern, covering the hours of 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00. However, we do ask for some flexibility. This is logistics after all!

You will be paid a salary of up to Β£33,100 per annum and receive 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you will do on a typical day:

  • Be responsible for Health & Safety and the Environment during shift whilst ensuring Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure co-ordination and handover management between shifts, as well as resource availability and skilled trained resources.
  • Translate, analyse and deliver customer needs as well as deliver consistent service levels to exceed customer expectations.
  • Carry out effective leadership, management and communication with all warehouse departments.
  • Be responsible for ensuring high levels of excellence in culture and behaviour, treating employees with respect and promoting diversity, whilst supporting colleagues through excellent communication and active leadership.
  • Recognise and proactively manage continuous improvement initiatives and ensure all internal/external KPIs are achieved and reviewed regularly.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Operational Experience, with knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Excellent organisation/time management, interpersonal, leadership, motivation and planning skills.
  • People management, including experience of disciplinary investigations and other people processes.
  • Excellent communicator (verbal & written) and able to interact at all levels and able to work within a team.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Use of Microsoft packages including Excel and Word with good analytical and numerical skills.
