Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for aShunter to join our team in Warrington. This is afull-time,permanentposition working on 4 on 4 off shift pattern, covering the hours of 17:00 05:00. Please be advised that this role is a mixture of both shunting and transport administration duties.

What you will do on a typical day:

  • Move Class 1 and 2 vehicles onto and off bays to be loaded and unloaded (on average5-7 trailers per shift)
  • Gather information about deliveries including missed ones, and allocating keys to drivers
  • Ensure the correct load and quantities are delivered to the relevant stores, and all stock scanned appropriately
  • Support warehouse team with duties such as loading when required
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of goods

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
  • No more than 6 current penalty points
  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
  • Previous experience in a transport operations environment is preferable, including use of TMS systems such as VITA
  • Knowledge of transport legislation and the European Working Time Directive is desirable
  • Strong communication and excellent organisation skills with an eye for a detail
