How does working for one of the largest international fashion companies sound? Here at GXO, we're looking for a proactive and people-focused ER Advisor to join our ASOS team in Barnsley. This is your opportunity to play a key role in shaping the employee experience and driving a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced logistics environment. As our HR Advisor, you'll be the go-to expert for all things people-related within your designated area.

This role is a 12-month Fixed Term position. You'll be working Monday to Friday and 40 hours per week across our late shift. This is covering the 15:00 to 23:00 shift; however, we are happy to be flexible and can have someone working from 13:30 to 22:00 some days and then 15:00 to 23:00 other days. We understand that flexibility is key, so we're happy to discuss and agree hours that work for everyone.

Pay, benefits and more: We're looking to offer a salary of up to £38,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance, and policy matters
  • Support the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to disciplinary and exit processes
  • Coach and empower line managers to build high-performing teams aligned with GXO values
  • Monitor and report on key HR metrics including headcount, turnover, and absence
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and contribute to the Site People Plan

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards this
  • Strong ER casework background with solid knowledge of UK employment law
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR Advisor/Officer role
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A collaborative, flexible, and solutions-focused mindset
