ADR Driver
to join our specialist logistics team in
Harlow, CM19 5AW.
You'll be responsible for the secure transport of hazardous goods, including lithium-ion batteries and solar panels, across the UK. This is a
full-time, permanent
position, working
Monday to Friday , contracted to
48 hours per week
with start times averaging from
05:00 to 06:00.
You will be making 1–2 deliveries to engineers in the morning, followed by a trunk run between our distribution centres. This role is ideal for professional drivers who take pride in safety, compliance, and customer service. Opportunities for career development and progression, as well as training enrichment and multiskilling, in a dynamic working environment What you'll do on a typical day: Safely transport ADR-classified goods (e.g. lithium-ion batteries) to and from customer sites Carry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards Follow ADR, Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety regulations at all times Accurately complete delivery documentation (ePODs, manifests, waste transfer notes if required) Provide a professional, reliable service when representing the company to customers and site contacts What you need to succeed at GXO: Valid Category CE (Class 1) UK driving licence Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card ADR licence, minimum class 9 - miscellaneous dangerous substances, with packages preferred Previous experience with hazardous goods transport (batteries/solar panels desirable) Strong commitment to safety, compliance, excellent customer service and ability to work independently with a professional approach We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains
