Here at GXO, we're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to join our thriving multi-user site in Rotherham.
Serving over 15 customers across a 188,000 sq. ft bonded and excise warehouse, this is a critical leadership role responsible for driving a positive safety culture, ensuring legal compliance, managing facilities services, and supporting GXO's sustainability ambitions. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be a key member of the site leadership team, providing expert guidance on Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Facilities Management while ensuring the site remains safe, compliant, efficient, and operationally effective. This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00, however flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Lead and promote a proactive safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and facilities legislation, company policies, and industry best practice.
- Manage risk assessments, accident investigations, audits, fire safety plans, business continuity arrangements, contractor compliance, and regulatory reporting including RIDDOR requirements.
- Oversee site facilities management, including maintenance schedules, permits to work, equipment compliance, building services, cleaning operations, and site security.
- Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives, supporting GXO's Road to Zero commitments through waste reduction, recycling improvements, energy efficiency, and environmental compliance.
- Produce and analyse HSE performance metrics, lead Health & Safety Committees, influence key stakeholders, and deliver continuous improvement projects that enhance safety, wellbeing, and operational performance.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong experience in Health & Safety and Facilities Management within a warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or operational environment.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification) with a strong understanding of current HSE legislation, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
- Proven experience managing accident investigations, business continuity planning, contractor management, audits, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical, reporting, communication, and presentation skills, with experience producing meaningful KPI reports and delivering improvements through data-led decision making.
- IOSH, Engineering, Facilities Management, or Sustainability-related qualifications are advantageous, with NEBOSH Diploma, Fire Safety, IEMA/ISEP, or Project Management qualifications highly desirable.
