Job description: Are you passionate about creating a positive safety culture where colleagues go home safe every day? Do you have the confidence to influence senior leaders, operational teams and key stakeholders? Can you drive continuous improvement whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety compliance? We're looking for an experienced H&S Manager to lead all health, safety and compliance activities across a complex food and beverage distribution operation for our Greene King site in Greenford.
Supporting warehouse, transport and support functions, you'll play a key role in developing a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a highly visible role where you'll work closely with operational leaders, colleagues, unions and external bodies to ensure safety remains at the heart of everything we do.
This is a full time, permanent, position working Monday to Friday 07:30-15:30 or 08:00 -16:00, some flexibility will be required, this is logistics after all! Pay, benefits and more: Were looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).

What youll do on a typical day: Lead all health and safety activities across warehousing, transport and support functions Manage risk assessments, safe systems of work, accident investigations and RIDDOR reporting Deliver audits, compliance reviews and improvement plans, including support for BRC standards Produce and present KPI reports, trends and recommendations to senior leadership teams Coach and support managers and colleagues to continuously improve safety performance and engagement What you need to succeed at GXO: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivilant as a minimum qualification Strong experience in health and safety management within logistics, distribution, warehousing or a similar operational environment Experience conducting investigations, risk assessments, audits and driving corrective actions Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including Unions, the local EHO and the Environment Agency We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains. xohmjla
