At GXO, we're looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join us on a full time, permanent basis, to lead the delivery of IT infrastructure projects across GXO sites, ensuring projects are well planned, governed and delivered to agreed time, cost and quality standards. We offer a flexible hybrid working model, with typically 1-2 days per week in the office in Northampton, flexing with business demand, as well traveling and being visible at site across the UK&I during go-lives and key delivery milestones.
With our UK&I Head Office located in Northampton, ideally the successful candidate will be a commutable distance from the Northamptonshire area. We do however have other office hubs across the UK that could be alternative location options, if necessary.
Pay, benefits and more: We're looking to offer a salary of £55,000 to £65,000, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery follows agreed methodology, governance and stage gate requirements.
- Coordinate SME review and approval of technical designs across LAN, WAN, WLAN, RF, cabling, IP addressing, routing, firewalling and related infrastructure components.
- Plan and manage site surveys, infrastructure readiness assessments, technical dependencies and delivery preparation.
- Identify, mobilise and coordinate internal SMEs, suppliers and delivery partners to support successful project delivery.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Strong understanding of infrastructure project delivery, including WAN, LAN, WLAN, RF, cabling, hardware and site readiness activity.
- Working knowledge of core networking concepts, including switching, routing, VLANs, DHCP/DNS, IP addressing and subnetting.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner or other relevant project management qualification.
- Experience managing third-party suppliers, technical SMEs and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Understanding & experience of WMS systems would be an advantage.
