We're looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our GXO Direct operation in Motherwell. In this role, you’ll support the Finance Manager with reporting, analysis and financial processes, helping to ensure accurate and timely information reaches our operational and senior stakeholders.
This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £36,000 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance, and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Prepare detailed weekly and monthly operational performance reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity to support financial and operational decision making.
- Work with the Finance Manager to streamline, improve and further develop financial reporting processes, templates and analytical tools.
- Produce variance analysis with clear, insightful commentary, helping operational teams interpret costs, trends and performance drivers.
- Support the wider operation by explaining financial results, identifying risks and opportunities, and assisting with forecasting discussions.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring finance information is well understood and acted upon.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- CIMA or ACCA qualification (or currently studying) is highly desirable.
- Experience working with financial management systems; Oracle experience is advantageous.
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective business relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with strong analytical capability.
- A proactive, detail driven approach and the ability to work independently.
