Supporting the day-to-day transport operation, you'll play a key role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and on time. Working closely with drivers, planners and operational colleagues, you'll help drive performance, maintain compliance and support the development of the team. Whether you're looking for your first management role or already have supervisory experience, this is a great opportunity to grow your leadership skills in a supportive and fast-moving environment.

This is a permanent position, you'll be on the late shift, Sunday to Thursday between the hours of 16:00 and 00:00.

We're offering a base salary of £30,668.50 per annum, + 10% shift allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays). What you'll do in a typical day:

  • Support the safe and efficient running of the transport operation during your shift
  • Ensure the effective and timely kick-out and de-briefing of all drivers
  • Be the focal point for all transport and customer related queries
  • Work with the planning team to ensure vehicles and drivers are utilised effectively
  • Maintain fleet compliance, including vehicle defects, servicing and MOT schedules

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience within a transport or logistics operation
  • A proactive approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience leading or supporting a team (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of transport compliance and health & safety requirements
