Here at GXO, we are looking for a Automation Shift Engineer to join our team at our prestigious,
Kraft Heinz site in Wigan .
This is a state-of-the-art automated facility which includes: Conveyors, Rail mounted cranes, Pallet wrapping and label machinery, Automated layer picker, Barcode scanner and PLCs.
This automated operation is the key distribution centre of Kraft Heinz UK wide operation supplying retailors across the country.
You will ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant, equipment and overall automated function on site.
This will be achieved through planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, reactive maintenance, condition monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
In addition, you will play a key role in maximising equipment uptime by reducing downtime and supporting with operational performance.
Furthermore, you will take a leading role in championing compliance, health, safety and environmental measure ensuring the operation meets all standards This is a full time, permanent position.
Youll be working, 4 on 4 off, rotating over 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00.
There are 7 rotations and then 18 days off using annual leave allowance in addition to 4 off.
