Join our GXO Phillips 66 Imminghamteam as a Transport Shift Manager , where you'll lead from the front, motivate drivers, drive exceptional customer service, and ensure a safe, efficient operation around the clock. From managing resources and performance to solving challenges on the go, you'll play a key role in delivering for our customers and keeping the operation running at its very best. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based on site (South Killingholme DN403DL). Contracted hours of 40 per week, with rotating shift pattern. This is 5 days of 7 rota, working 06:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 22:00 and 22:00 to 06:00 (When your shifts fall on weekends, the shift pattern is 06:00 to 14:00). What you'll do on a typical day: Working as part of a team manage and motivate the driver workforce to deliver outstanding service, achieve targets, and maintain operational excellence across your shift Keep customers informed and satisfied by providing accurate ETAs and proactively communicating any delivery updates Manage driver performance and wellbeing, including shift briefings, absence cover, return-to-work interviews, and day-to-day support Drive compliance and operational control through effective management of tachographs, drivers' hours, working time regulations, and transport documentation Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement by promoting near-miss reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting best practices across the operation What you need to succeed at GXO: A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing transport environment Strong communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to work effectively with customers, drivers, and senior stakeholders A customer-first mindset, with the ability to understand customer needs and deliver exceptional service Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills, alongside a self-motivated approach and a willingness to learn Previous logistics or Transport Management Systems experience is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
