Here at GXO, we are looking for a Lead Operational Driver Trainer to support the national B&Q Store to Home learning and development Team in a mobile capacity, managing a team of between 8-12 people. You will provide forward planning, guidance and structure as well as (where necessary) delivering nominated training sessions. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, where you will be working Monday - Friday, between the hours of 07:00-16:00, with some flexibility required. Due to the nature of this role, overnight stays will be required.

What you will do on a typical day:

  • Liaise with operations leaders to ensure quality training is provided by your team to all core employees and agency workers
  • Identify training and development opportunities and implement any changes based on trend analysis
  • Monitor and manage refresher training alongside quarterly safety focused training
  • Liaise with the training department and Area Operations Manager to plan and deliver the annual training programme

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role, experience supervising a team and an operational understanding of a transport environment
  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment, planning and organising
  • Able to positively manage change and develop your team
  • LGV Driver licence (Cat C) essential
