Here at GXO, we\’re looking for a proactive and confident HR Advisor to join our dynamic HR team in Maidstone, supporting our NHS contract. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you\’ll be the go-to expert for all things Employee Relations (ER), helping managers navigate complex cases and drive positive outcomes.
This role is being offered on a part-time, permanent basis. You will be working 20 hours per week, with hours and days that suit you. However, flexibility will be required, this is logistics after all!

We\’re looking to offer a salary of up to £17,066.66 per annum, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), pro rata based on hours. What you\’ll do on a typical day
- Lead and manage ER cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and flexible working requests
- Coach and train line manager to build confidence and capability in ER case handling
- Collaborate with the HR Operations Partner to identify trends and implement proactive solutions
- Support absence management through data analysis, Occupational Health liaison, and strategic initiatives
- Administer recruitment processes, contract changes, and onboarding activities
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and contribute to improving survey scores and workplace culture
What you need to succeed at GXO
- CIPD Level 3 qualified
- Strong experience in managing high-volume ER cases
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with Trade Unions
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF, SUMIF, COUNT)
- A flexible, organised, and customer-focused approach
