Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a versatile Class 1 Driver to join our team in Hinckley. You will be responsible for the secure transport of hazardous goods such as lithium-ion batteries and solar panels, across the UK for our client Octopus. This is a full-time, permanent position, working on a Monday to Friday pattern, with a start time window of 05:00 to 06:00, contracted to 48 hours per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Safely transport ADR-classified goods (e.g. lithium-ion batteries) to and from customer sites
- Carry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards
- Follow ADR, Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety regulations at all times
- Accurately complete delivery documentation (ePODs, manifests, waste transfer notes if required)
- Provide a professional, reliable service when representing the company to customers and site contacts
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Valid Category CE (Class 1) UK driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience with hazardous goods transport (batteries/solar panels desirable)
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently with a professional approach
