Contract and hours
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday / Week 2 - Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time at 08:00. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week.

As a Drivers Mate, you will receive:
- An hourly rate of £13.35, that is an annual salary of £27,768.00
- Overtime pay of £20.03 per hour (when applicable, paid over 40hrs)

What you’ll do on a typical day
- Work as a part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on a multidrop basis - an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drops per day in peak season
- Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required
- Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition
- Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Experience of dealing with multi drop home delivery preferred but not essential
- Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting and pushing
- Can do attitude with a knack for problem solving
- Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check)
- Be prepared to commute to Havant (PO9 3QJ) for the required shift pattern
