Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our team on our Sainsbury's contract in Langlands Park, East Kilbride.
As a First Line Manager you will be responsible for managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic. This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 days from 7, 21:30 to 06:30.

We’re looking to offer a salary of £40,000.00 per annum and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day
- To lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
- Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
- Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
- Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
- Management of the warehouse training requirement and function
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
- The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
